Consumer Lender - McCrory, AR
First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for a Consumer Lender in our Office located in Northeast Arkansas.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide loans in compliance with financial instituation policies and procedures.
Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior banking and loan experience a plus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Interviews loan applicants and orders credit reports. Requests specified information for loan application. Notifies applicant of loan decision. Corresponds with customers, applicants or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information. Recommends and outlines terms of loan. Informs prospective borrowers of loan commitments. Develops and maintains interest rate structure that is consistent with financial institution policies and is competitive with current market. Reviews developing law and regulations as they apply to loan agreements. Manages delinquent account files for the financial institution. Assists in training of new personnel. Cross sells all bank services. Represents the loan department on various bank committees. Handles various department file maintenance in order to secure proper regulatory requirements. Maintains full knowledge of all computer programs utilized in the loan department. Other duties as assigned by management. Position also requires occasional travel to other out of El Dorado locations to provide training to other loan personnel. Business Development duties include gathering and analyzing data and making contacts with potential customers to provide new loan and deposit business to the Bank. Commercial loan responsibilities include gathering the appropriate documents from a business to analyze its cash flows and business goals and determine if they meet the company’s guidelines.
Other Skills and Abilities: Good understanding and knowledge of financial institution products and services. Good cross-selling, management and organizational skills. Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel and have the ability to learn various other computer software programs. Must be able to analyze and interpret computer-related issues.
