Loan Administrator - Carthage, MS
First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for a Loan Administrator at our Carthage, MS Branch.
Education/Experience Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-4 years administrative experience plus 1-2 years loan and banking preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provides administrative assistance to Loan Officers and staff, including updating loan data for entry into the Bank's computers and assembling documentation for commercial and consumer loans. Prepare loan documents for new and renewed loans. Ensures that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data. Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation. Checks documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures. Close loans instructing borrower of terms of loan and answer any questions customers may have. Maintains new commercial and consumer loan files. Performs variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures. Uses office computers for data input and other activities, and order credit reports. Answers telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and information. Cross-markets financial institution products and services as appropriate. Other duties as assigned by management.
Other Skills and Abilities: Must process excellent organization skills and be able to work under strict deadlines. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and be a self-starter. Must be proficient in Computer applications, typewriters, calculators, fax machines, and copy machines. Good telephone and people skills a must.
