Full Time Teller - El Dorado, AR
First Financial Bank in El Dorado, AR has an immediate opening for a Teller.
The primary responsibility of the position is to provide a variety of customer savings, checking and loan payment transactions, as well as customer services such as sales of money orders, cashier’s checks and traveler’s checks. This individual will be responsible for cross-selling the bank’s products and services such as checking, savings, time accounts and loans while ensuring that the bank’s policies, procedures and all compliance regulations are being followed. Individual will be required to perform the teller function as a lobby and drive-thru teller.
Education/Experience Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires a minimum of one year customer service experience and cash handling experience.
Essential Duties/Responsiblities: Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient customer transactions; receives checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into computer records; issues traveler’s checks, money orders, cashier’s checks and sells U.S. Savings Bonds; balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and compares total amounts to computer balance sheet and reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary. Ensure that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.; cashes checks from a variety of accounts upon proper verifications and getting approval when over teller limit; cross-sells bank products and services; receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments, and ensures the payments are processed correctly and enters validated payments; report malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller stations to supervisor; at some locations, assist with the balancing and maintaining the ATM; process night drop deposits and record proper information on bank forms; other duties as assigned by management.
Other Skills/Abilities: Must be detailed oriented, have strong verbal and interpersonal relationship skills, be able to handle multiple tasks and possess excellent organizational skills. Must be able to work flexible schedule when required to ensure adequate teller coverage for branch during hours of operation.
