(El Dorado, AR) - First Financial Bank will once again recognize the important work being done by nonprofit organizations in our community. The 12th Annual FFB Nonprofit Excellence Award will be presented during the Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting on April 15th at the First Financial Bank Music Hall. First Financial Bank has awarded $82,000 to twenty-three different organizations since the award’s inception in 2009.

To be eligible, organizations must be designated by the IRS as a 501-c-3 and operate in Union County. Nominations are open to the public and forms will be available for pickup at the Chamber of Commerce and all First Financial Bank locations. First Financial Bank awards a monetary prize of $5,000 for the winner of this award and $2,500 to two non-winning finalists, based on criteria that include: a) the impact their work makes on our community, b) fiscal responsibility and c) board governance. Organizations of ALL sizes are encouraged to apply. In addition to the monetary award, FFB will also be producing and providing each of the three finalists with a short video about their organization for use in fundraising and public relations efforts.

Previous winners are eligible to reapply, but may wish to emphasize recent developments to their programs and services or tell a new success story. Deadline for nominations is February 14, 2020 and nominations may be delivered in person (to either the Chamber or FFB locations), via mail, email, or by faxing them to the Marketing Department, 870-881-5290.

Their efforts make Union County a better place to live and work”, stated Chris Hegi, CEO of First Financial Bank. “We are pleased to once again provide this award to help give these organizations the support and recognition they deserve.”

First Financial Bank was founded in 1934 and has six branch locations in Union County, Arkansas. They have assets over $1.4 billion and currently employ 388 people, 193 of those in the local community.
