Derek Reynolds is proud to call McCrory, AR his hometown. And he’s equally proud to follow in his mom’s footsteps by helping Woodruff County folks with their banking needs. His mom, Jestene, worked for the bank for over 40 years. “I grew up in this bank building”, he stated. “I was fortunate to have an amazing example in my mom, as she served our friends/neighbors in the McCrory area.”
As a Loan Officer in McCrory, Derek primarily handles consumer lending – making loans for customers for whatever personal need they have. He’s been in banking since 2013, and his experience as a farmer, equipment salesman and seed salesman give him insights into the local farming community and their needs as well. Derek says he enjoys his co-workers at FFB because they are a tight-knit group with a focus on helping the customer. “Everybody will do whatever they can to help a customer”, he said.
Derek says this customer-service mindset is important when dealing with financial decisions, some of which can be difficult. “I want to always remember what the customer is going through and be mindful of any stress they may be under. Our team works hard to make the process as stress-free as possible”, he concluded. When not working, Derek and his wife, Robyne, enjoy watching their twin daughters’ sporting events at McCrory High School. They also have an older son who’s engaged to be married. When asked what three words others would use to describe him, he stated: Loyal, calm, and trustworthy.
