Compliance & Appraisal Assistant - El Dorado, AR
First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for an Compliance & Appraisal Assistant at our Corporate Office location in El Dorado, AR.
The primary responsibility of this position is to facilitate the appraisal process, particularly residential appraisals, from scheduling and cost estimates to the final collateral valuation to enable a judgment of the reasonableness and correctness of the submitted appraisals and train new or transfer loan employees in compliance, loan processes, and loan origination software.
Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional compliance and appraisal training may be required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Orders all appraisals for any 1-4 family appraisal request. Analyzes appraisal to ascertain acceptable appraisal and to ensure valuation is within typical market ranges, and adheres to USPAP and investor requirements, insure the math is correct, and report is authorized. Works with appraisers to correct appraisal deficiencies or to obtain justification for anomaly. Prepares new loan spreadsheet and individual review sheets for Quality Control personnel. Serves as back up for QC Analysts as needed. Some travel may be required.
