Assistant Internal Auditor - El Dorado, AR
First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for an Assistant Internal Auditor.
The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct regular and follow-up audit procedures under the direction of the Internal Auditor.
Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in accounting, or related courses preferred. One to two years of bank internal audit experience or external audit experience preferred. Also prefer CIA or other Internal Audit designation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for the completion of operational, financial, and compliance audits which includes the analysis of results and identification of exceptions. Responsible for proposing and presenting audit recommendations and findings to the Director of Internal Auditor, Executive Management and the Audit Committee. Prepare, send, and follow-up on annual confirmation requests. Responsible for follow-up on internal audit and exam exceptions and recommendations. Attend Quarterly Audit Committee meetings.
Other skills/abilities: Should have ability to work with auditees diplomatically in sometimes adverse situations. Should have a good understanding of human relations, have good relationships with auditees, and have ability to make fair and equitable judgements in review of possible procedural exceptions. Must possess good organizational skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Word & Excel.
This position will require participation in continuing education programs to stay abreast of current bank audit requirements, which means there will be some occasional travel required.
